Day By Day Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Antananarivo
Arrival in Madagascar, meet with our representative at the International Airport of Antananarivo.
Depart for a visit to Lemurs Park about 20km west of the city where you will see the celebrity of Madagascar: the lemurs. These monkey-like animals are the last remaining prosimians, jumping, dancing from tree to tree. You will see the white sifaka, bamboo lemurs, ring-tailed lemurs, black and white ruffed lemur, common brown lemur, lemur mongoose and the extraordinary mouse lemurs.
This private park give you the chance to discover one of Madagascar wildlife tours highlights minutes away from the city, traversing a beautiful landscape of rice paddies and waving hills.

Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe (145 Km – 3 h)
After breakfast, you will head out with your guide and private vehicle to the green East of Madagascar, snaking through the central highlands.
Stop at Marozevo Peyrieras Reptile Reserve.
Named after its founder, the botanist Andre Peyrieras, the park will give you the chance to encounter, to touch, to handle, to feel almost all the representative species of all Madagascar Chameleons. One of the only place where it is obvious to see the world biggest living Chameleon: Calumma parsonii. We will also have the opportunity to photograph the various butterflies, moths, bats, frogs, nile crocodiles.
Driving through past the eastern green forest, which has unfortunately suffered due to deforestation. This beautiful road will lead us to the protected area and forest range of Andasibe, mostly known as Perinet: a still living symbol of the Madagascar evergreen east.
Lunch at the restaurant.
In the afternoon, walk in Mitsinjo forest (and view lemurs, Chameleons).

Day 03: Mantadia National Park Expedition
After breakfast head to Analamazaotra Special Reserve, a strenuous but rewarding hike. The wildlife here is excellent and offers the best chance of seeing the region’s rarest species.
Start very early with car transfer to Mantadia, exploration of the 10,000 ha of lowland, mid-altitude, and montane rainforest, virtually untouched primary forest.
Possibility to see the beautiful Golden–coloured Diademed Sifaka (Propithecus d. diadema) and some Indris with various Mantella frogs and chameleons. Birdwatching site with key species like Groung Rollers (Scaly, Pitta-like, Rufous-headed, Short-legged and Pitta-like), Couas, Forest Rock Trush, Grey-crowned Grrenbul, Yellowbrow, Madagascar Red Owl…
Lunch at the restaurant.
Visit the Vakôna Forest Lodge in the afternoon to discover other lemurs such as ring-tailed, common brown lemur, diademed sifaka and the black and wifed ruffed lemur.
Then, back to the hotel.

Day 04 (Friday): Andasibe – Antananarivo (145 Km – 3h)
After the breakfast, go to the famous reserve of Perinet and its special highlights: spot of the world’s biggest living lemur Indri Indri, and listen to its unique screaming call. Of course the area is known for other interesting sights that your local guide will be proud to show you.

Lunch, then go to view the daily life and culture of the locals in the nearby village of Andasibe.
Leave Andasibe and back to Antananarivo.

Day 05 (Saturday): Antananarivo – Anjajavy
Day 06 - 07: Anjajavy
Anjajavy is part of a 450 hectare reserve with 4 main habitats:

- A dry deciduous forest with wonderful palissanders tree (Dalbergia sp), baobabs (Adansonia sp) etc… The only protected mangrove for over 250 km.
- Tsingy: an unique limestone rock formations amazingly eroded by winds and rain over years,
- Delightful beaches.
Within the reserve, a wide variety of lemurs, reptiles and other endemic flora and fauna can be found. Madagascar’s west coast enjoys sunshine pratically all year round.
Anjajavy is a member of Relais & Chateaux and ranked by European standards as a four star plus establishment and is ideal for demanding eco-tourist. It is the only luxury lodge in Madagascar and the perfect destination to end any trip to this beautiful and exciting country.
Anjajavy lies in the heart of the Boina Sakalava territory and can only be accessed by air. The flight offers magnificent low altitude visitas of the coastline and interior scenery and lands at a private runway on the Anjajavy peninsula.
