This 10-day Botswana & Victoria Falls safari begins in Johannesburg, South Africa, the most convenient port of entry for international flights from across the world. Upon landing, you will be taken to the posh Athol Place in the exclusive district of Sandton to relax from your tiresome journey.
The next morning you will take a flight from Johannesburg directly to Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe-side of the falls. After an evening Zambezi sunset dinner cruise, you will retire to your luxury tented suite at the Victoria Falls River Lodge.
The next couple of days is full of exciting activities that will enthral the entire family: from a tour of the Victoria Fall to an elephant-back safari to a helicopter ride to meal with Aunt Flatter in a local township.
On the 4th day of this tour, you will take a flight the intimate tented Linyanti Ebony situated in the Chobe Enclave on the shoulder of Chobe National Park, Botswana. This lovely luxury tented camp, overlooking the Linyanti River, will be your base for the next couple of days. Aside from game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, you can also do walking safaris, boating, fishing and mokoro rides in the nearby lagoons.
On Day 7, you will move towards the Okavango Delta to Footsteps Across the Delta for the Young Explorer’s Safari. This private camp offers a personal safari experience, hosting a maximum of 6 guests at a time, with the emphasis on guided walks where you have the time to focus on learning about tracking wildlife and understanding animal movement, patterns and behaviour, as well as more in depth information on trees, grasses and the finer details.
A selection of activities are planned with the whole family in mind. Parents can enjoy some peace and quiet whilst our expertly trained Young Explorers guide entertains the children with a multitude of activities to suite all ages. Activities are designed to be both educational and inspiring, and the time spent at the Young Explorers camp is sure to leave a lasting impression and fond memories in the minds of all the family.
On Day 10, you will take a charter flight to Maun, the end of your journey. We can optionally arrange for you to extend your tour of Botswana for a few more days, or add accommodation in Johannesburg before your international flight home.
