About this Safari
About Zarek Cockar
Born and raised in Kenya, and having taken every opportunity to go on safari, camping and hiking, from a young age, Zarek has developed a deep connection to Africa’s wilderness areas. With a Gold level badge from the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA), and a Level 2 qualification from the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA), he’s armed with all the right tools to interpret the signs and behaviors of wildlife encountered on safari. He has guided in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Africa, and Chad.
A safari with Zarek is defined by his wide-eyed wonder at the natural world, from hopping through muddy puddles catching frogs to slowly roving a riverbank searching for an elusive leopard. When he’s not guiding guests or in the office, he often packs a tent in the car and heads off on safari with family or friends.

The Trip Cost Includes:
Brazzaville: 01-night accommodation, City Tour (Brazzaville), letter of Invitation, and scheduled charter flights (BZV – MBK – BZV).
Odzala Kokoua: road transfers, accommodation at Ngaga, Lango & Mboko Camps, standard drinks at camps, 2 x gorilla tracking permits per person, Odzala conservation fee, park fees, and medical evacuation.
The Trip Cost Excludes
Additional Brazzaville Hotel accommodation, meals and drinks, premium drinks at camps, all gratuities, and expenditure of a personal nature.
Chalo Notes
Vegan can be met with ample notice. Kosher & Halal might be difficult.
Local guides speak English. Gorilla researchers will also be there. Head off for trek straight from camp. 3 habituated groups.
Visas have to be done in home country prior to arrival. Carry hard copy of invitation letter with you.
