The 5,000-hectare Ragati Conservancy on the lower slopes of Mount Kenya is an idyllic retreat, which perfectly complements
a safari elsewhere in the Laikipia area.

The montane forest and Ragati River and tributaries are home to some exceptional birdlife, larger mammals including buffalo and elephant, and rare species such as the African clawless otter and the critically endangered mountain bongo. This is not primarily a wildlife destination, but the real draw is the seclusion and opportunity
to enjoy forest walks and hikes, and some of East Africa’s finest trout fishing. A stay here offers a different environment to explore and the chance to be active, or relax in nature away from the distractions of modern life.
