A secluded haven set atop massive stone boulders, surrounded by ancient coral trees and acacias, overlooking a rocky gorge on the Arugusinyai River. Vast vistas stretch out before you: untamed landscapes vibrantly lush with plant life, freshwater springs and a diverse array of wildlife.
Limited to just 10 suites, each with a private deck, spectacular views, large soaking tub, outdoor rain shower, personal minibar and grand bed made for dreaming. The main lodge offers airy living spaces, a rejuvenating spa and gym and a curated wine cellar. An expansive pool is set on a rocky outcrop overlooking natural springs below where resident wildlife frequently comes to slake their thirst.

What can we do here that is not possible inside the national parks?
Mwiba sits in a 129,530-acre private reserve, so unlimited game drives, night drives and bush walks with a professional walking guide all run within the exclusive-use area. Each booking has its own vehicle and guide, and additional drives into the southern Serengeti parks can be added depending on weather and wildlife.
What are the suites and facilities like?
There are just ten suites, built atop stone boulders above a rocky gorge on the Arugusinyai River, each with a private deck, large soaking tub, outdoor rain shower and personal minibar. The main lodge has airy living spaces, a spa, gym, wine cellar and a pool on a rocky outcrop above natural springs.
Are there cultural activities?
Yes, cultural excursions with the Hadzabe and Datoga are included, and the area is home to some of the few remaining traditional communities in Tanzania. Rates from US$2,150 per person per night also cover meals, house drinks, laundry, Wi-Fi and Mwiba airstrip transfers, with a one percent government tourism levy applied.
