How small is it?
There are only five en-suite rooms, built with local materials in warm, earthy colours, which keeps the atmosphere personal. The cottages sit on the same hill as Soroi Lions Bluff, in the heart of the Lumo Conservancy close to the Taita Hills and Tsavo.
Is it a good base for photography?
It is set up for it, with some of the country's best photographic guides and photographically adapted vehicles, plus shared access to a photographic hide depending on availability. The panoramic outlook over the Tsavo wilderness gives good light at both ends of the day.
What do the rates cover?
Full board with three meals a day, coffee, tea and filtered water, twice daily shared and scheduled game drives in custom-built 4x4 vehicles with an accredited English-speaking guide, and transfers from Taita Hills airstrip. Rates start from US$455 per person per night for the cottages.
