Step 1 of 3

Planning this Tanzania itinerary

Which parks does this Tanzania trip include?

Ten days and nine nights take in three of Tanzania's best-known areas. You start in Arusha, fly to Tarangire National Park, continue into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with its UNESCO-listed crater, and finish on the plains of the Serengeti. The itinerary also reaches the quieter eastern Serengeti away from the busiest routes.

Is there more to do than sit in a game-viewing vehicle?

Quite a bit. Alongside guided game drives you can walk in Tarangire with our guides, hike the scenic Olmoti and Empakaai craters, and spend time with Maasai communities learning about their culture and conservation work. In the Serengeti there are guided walking safaris and the option of a hot-air balloon flight at dawn.

How do we travel between the parks?

Mostly by light aircraft, which keeps driving time down. You fly from Arusha to Kuro Airstrip in Tarangire, then from Kuro to Lake Manyara before travelling by road into the Ngorongoro highlands, and finally fly into the Serengeti via Seronera Airstrip. Scheduled transfers and internal flights between accommodations are part of the rate.

What does it cost and do all dates cost the same?

Prices start from US$9,500 per person. The 2026 departures on 30 November to 9 December, 6 to 15 December and 14 to 23 December are all at that rate, as are 28 February to 9 March and 7 to 16 March 2027. The 6 to 15 June 2027 departure is US$10,500.

How large is the group?

You travel with no more than 15 other guests, accompanied by experienced safari guides. A group that size means the guiding stays personal, camps do not feel crowded, and there is room to slow down when a sighting deserves it rather than sticking rigidly to a timetable.
