Questions about this seven-day Kenya safari
Can we see enough of Kenya in only a week?
This route is built for exactly that. Six nights are split between two contrasting areas, Loisaba Conservancy in Laikipia and Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp in the Mara North Conservancy, with flights rather than road transfers between them. You arrive in Nairobi, fly to Loisaba, fly on to Mara North, and fly back for your departure on day seven.
How exclusive is the Mara North section?
Elephant Pepper Camp sits in the heart of the 70,000-acre Mara North Conservancy, which works to a minimum ratio of 350 acres per guest bed. In practice that means far fewer vehicles around sightings than in the main reserve, and it allows guided bush walks and other activities that are not permitted on the national reserve side.
Is this suitable for teenagers?
Older teenagers, yes, with two things to plan around. The minimum age for guided bush walks is 16, so a younger child would stay on game drives. A child aged 12 to 17 occupying their own room is charged at the single room rate, which affects the overall cost, so it is worth talking to us about room configuration before you book.
What is covered in the price?
Full board accommodation, soft drinks, beer, house wines and selected spirits, shared scheduled day game drives, guided bush walks, a bush breakfast or lunch and sundowners are included, plus camel trekking and horse riding at Loisaba. Park and conservancy fees, scheduled flights, one single entry visa per person, Wilson Airport lounge access, AMREF Flying Doctors membership, transfers and laundry are also in. International flights, gratuities and exclusive vehicle use are not.
How much does the price change through the year?
The lowest 2026 rate is US$6,898 per person sharing for 1 April to 31 May. June, and 1 November to 19 December, are US$7,539, while 1 July to 31 October and 20 December to 3 January 2027 are US$9,181. A 10 per cent circuit discount has already been applied for six or more nights at Elewana properties.
