About this Safari
The former Spanish Sahara colony has been the site of a long war since the second half of the seventies. This region also called the Western Sahara has been off-limits for decades to travelers. We are proud to be the “first ones” to bring intrepid travelers to the vast, rocky and sandy regions of Saguia El Hamra, Tiris Zemmour and Rio de Oro, now Saharan provinces of Morocco.
Accompanied by reliable guides and following a carefully planned itinerary, we explore it safely.
The itinerary is the result of a ten years research, both bibliographical and in the field; scouting, contacts with nomads, local tribes, encounters with former fighters, allow us to share with our travelers the most interesting spots of this large region dense of history, linking prehistoric times with contemporary era.

Where exactly does this Morocco expedition go?
The route starts in Agadir on the Atlantic and heads south through Sidi Ifni and Fort Tifnidilt above the Ouadi Draa riverbed, then into the Saharan provinces of Saguia El Hamra, Tiris Zemmour and Rio de Oro. You reach the desert citadel of Smara, cross the Western Sahara from north to south, and return to the ocean at Dakhla.
How many people travel and does group size change the price?
Groups run from four to sixteen participants, and the rate falls as the group grows. For 2025 the price is 3,360 euros per person for six or more guests, 3,986 euros for four or five, and 4,980 euros for two or three. The 2026 rate for six or more is 3,440 euros per person.
Is this a rough camping trip or a comfortable one?
It sits between the two. You travel in a small convoy of 4x4 vehicles with an English-speaking local guide, and nights are split between hotels and mobile camps. There is genuine off-road desert crossing, including days following tracks that do not appear on maps, alongside cultural visits to stone citadels, prehistoric rock art sites and nomad encampments.
What does the price cover?
Airport transfers on arrival and departure, all touring and excursions in 4WD vehicles and local fishing boats, an English-speaking local guide, the visits set out in the programme, accommodation as per the itinerary and meals as described are all included. The trip runs on set departure dates, so ask us for the current list and we will confirm what falls outside the rate.
