4 Rivers, Okavango Delta, Botswana
A Luxury Tented Camp in Botswana
Camp Details
Located in the Okavango Delta, 4 Rivers is a new camp and enjoys exclusive use of the western side of the renowned Kwara Private Concession. In days gone by, explorers whispered of these fabled floodplains, which teem with plains game – and the predators that stalk them.
This is the great unexplored. A wild and isolated wilderness with stunning biodiversity, a confluence of waterways, open plains, forested islands, and Mopane woodlands home to African wild dogs, lions, elephants, leopards, sable antelope and more.
With no other safari camps having access to the area, the camp is located a short 15-minute drive from its own private airstrip. A wide variety of activities, including game drives, night drives, walking and seasonal mokoro trips, are all on offer from a camp that harks back to a traditional old-world safari ethos while remaining exclusive.
4 Rivers is tucked away in ancient woodland and looks across a permanent small lagoon to Maboa Island. Sitting on raised wooden decks, the camp has 9 large meru tents including a family room. All the tents will have indoor and outdoor showers and we welcome children from the age of 6 years old. Private game drive vehicles will also be available. The main communal area will include a bar, dining room, curio shop and a selection of smaller lounge areas that allow you to enjoy the peace of the Delta. The camp will be run completely on solar power with the highest of eco-standards.
WHY CHOOSE 4 RIVERS?
• Mokoros are a great way to see and appreciate the delta from a different angle.
• Guided Nature walks are offered year round unless the guides deem it unsafe at any particular time.
• As 4 rivers in the Kwara Private Reserve, game drives are able to go off-road and continue after sunset, providing you with significantly better game viewing and photographic opportunities.
