Hidden within the rocks of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amalinda was designed to provide an exceptional experience while preserving the rich heritage and natural wonders of this otherworldly destination. Matopos National Park is both Zimbabwe’s oldest and smallest National Park, home to rock formations called “kopjes” which date back over 2 million years. Meaning “bald head” in the local Ndebele language, Matobo provides endless landscapes and an opportunity to see one of Africa’s most iconic endangered species…the rhino.

Meals can be taken at a communal Captain's Table alongside fellow guests and guides, which suits travellers who enjoy company. The kitchen offers both buffet and cooked breakfast, a two-course lunch and a three-course dinner. There is also an in-house masseuse for private massages using aromatherapy oils.
What do the rates cover?
Rates start from US$411 per person per night in the January to April and November to December windows, rising from May to October. They include accommodation, all meals, local beverages, all activities in camp, National Parks and Monument fees, shared transfers within a 20km radius plus airport arrival and departure transfers, laundry and WiFi. Children under twelve are charged at 50 per cent.
