There are. Alongside game drives and bush walks, Xaranna offers scenic helicopter flights and horseback safaris, which is unusual in the Delta, plus seasonal motorised boat, mokoro and fishing excursions when the water allows. It suits guests who want a change of pace at the end of a safari.

Very much so. Some 450 bird species have been recorded here, including Pel's Fishing Owl, and summer brings a large number of migrants.
