How many ways can we explore the Delta from here?

An unusual number. Guests head out by mokoro, barge, motorboat, helicopter or on foot with a walking safari, so the same landscape can be seen several different ways across a stay. The lodge sits on Xaxaba Island, fringed with ilala palms, in the heart of the UNESCO wetlands.

Do the rooms have their own pools?

Each tented room has its own plunge pool and private deck. Inside, the palette is soft grey with flashes of deep gold, and the oversized bed is framed by a copper headboard. It is light-filled during the day and deliberately cosy at night.

What experiences are on offer?

A 35-minute scenic helicopter safari over the Delta, half-day mokoro excursions, sundowners on the barge, bush picnics for couples and families, traditional cooking demonstrations, campfire storytelling and star gazing mythology.
