Along the scenic Gamsberg Pass, roughly halfway between Windhoek and Walvis Bay, which makes it a natural overnight break rather than a detour. The setting is the Gamsberg Nature Reserve, and much of the appeal is simply the scenery and the silence.
Is there anything for active guests?
The main draw is climbing Gamsberg mountain itself, which is the highlight for anyone with the legs for it. Otherwise the mountains are open for walking, and back at the farm there is a sun terrace, an outdoor swimming pool and a cosy bar for the afternoon.
What is the accommodation, and what does it cost?
The farm has a range of rooms through to spacious suites, each individually decorated, with free wi-fi in the public areas. Children of all ages are welcome. Rates for 2025 were NAD 1,788 per person per night from January to June and NAD 1,900 from July to October.
