Nestled on the northern edge of the Okavango Delta in the Shinde Private Concession, this charming and timeless camp grants guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature. The camp retains its delicate footprint and endearing character while offering a discerning safari experience. Days are spent exploring the wilderness areas, while evenings are wound away around the fire, down on the Kalahari sand.

Is there a minimum age?
Yes, children of 16 years and older are welcome at Footsteps, which is a higher bar than at several of the neighbouring camps. If you are travelling with younger children we can point you to other camps in the same concession and the wider Delta that take them.
What sort of safari does the camp focus on?
An authentic and traditional one. Walking and mokoro safaris sit alongside fishing and game drives, and the camp keeps a deliberately delicate footprint. Days are spent out in the wilderness and evenings around the fire down on the Kalahari sand, which is much of the appeal for repeat visitors.
