About this Safari
From the middle of 2018, We will be operating lodges in two of the most beautiful and photographically productive regions in Botswana – The Chobe National Park and The Okavango Delta. This package can be booked on its own or if combined with Victoria Falls before and Cape Town after makes for an Ultimate Photo Safari.
This eight-day itinerary starts at the Chobe National Park famed for its huge elephant populations and the opportunity to photograph some of the most relaxed and varied wildlife from both land and water on our custom built photo boats and vehicles.

Day 4 – 7: Khwai Private Reserve in The Okavango Delta.
On the fourth day after the morning activity and a wholesome brunch, you will be transferred to nearby Kasane Airport for your charter flight to the Khwai Private Reserve in The Okavango Delta.

What makes this a photographic safari rather than a standard one?
The set-up is built around cameras. In Chobe you arrive into a double-height wildlife photography gallery with an editing room and an underground hide leading off it, and game viewing is done from custom-built photo boats and vehicles, so you can work from both land and water.
Where do the eight days take you?
Three nights on the Chobe floodplains, an area famed for its huge elephant populations and relaxed, varied wildlife, then a charter flight from Kasane Airport to the Khwai Private Reserve in the Okavango Delta for the following nights. On day eight you fly to Maun, which has excellent daily connections across the region.
Can I add Victoria Falls or Cape Town?
Yes. The package can be booked on its own, and it is also designed to combine with Victoria Falls beforehand and Cape Town afterwards for a longer photographic trip. From Maun at the end you could equally head across the South African border towards Madikwe. We can put the whole sequence together for you.
When is the best time to go?
May to December is the strongest window, with May through October rated best and November and December still good. January to April is fair rather than ideal. The 2026 rate is US$10,850 per person, and we are happy to advise on timing once we know what you most want to photograph.
Is a mokoro trip part of the Delta stay?
There is an opportunity to spend a morning or afternoon gliding through the Delta in a traditional dug-out canoe, called a mokoro, during your time at Khwai Private Reserve. It is seasonal, so it depends on water levels when you travel, and we will confirm what is possible for your dates.
