Questions about this Uganda wildlife journey
What does this itinerary include that other Uganda trips do not?
It pairs gorilla trekking in Bwindi with rhino tracking on foot at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and three nights at Murchison Falls, where the Nile surges through a narrow gorge. There is also a boat cruise to the Mabamba Swamps in search of the shoebill, and chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest just outside Murchison Falls National Park.
How much time do you get in Bwindi?
Three nights at Buhoma Lodge. Day three is your gorilla trek with experienced guides, and day four offers either a second trek or a quieter day around Bwindi, perhaps a community village walk. Flights run from Entebbe to Kihihi airstrip and back, with road transfers to and from Buhoma at either end.
When does it depart?
There are two 2026 departures, 15 February and 18 September, with a minimum of two and a maximum of seven guests. The rate is from US$5,875 per person sharing for nine days and eight nights. With only two fixed dates, it is sensible to confirm early if one of them suits you.
What is included in the rate?
A VIP meet and greet inside Entebbe airport, return airport transfers, two nights at the Best Western Premier Garden Hotel with breakfast, return domestic flights between Entebbe and Kihihi with transfers to Buhoma, three nights full board at Buhoma Lodge including meals, soft drinks, local beers, spirits and house wines, and 4x4 transport.
Is there much time on the water?
A fair amount. The Mabamba Swamps excursion is by boat, and the Murchison Falls section includes Nile cruises alongside early morning game drives. With the falls themselves on the programme, the river runs as a thread through the second half of the trip, which suits both wildlife viewing and photography.
