Timbavati's Makanyi Private Game Lodge carries two offers that run into 2027. The honeymoon rate takes 50 per cent off one partner's accommodation on a minimum two-night stay, and adds a bottle of South African MCC, a welcome platter, a private dinner, a romantic turndown and a thirty-minute massage each. Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Makanyi honeymoon rate cover the conservation levy?
No. The levy remains payable in full for each night, on top of the discounted accommodation. The reduction applies to one partner's accommodation only, on a minimum two-night stay, for travel within six months of the wedding date. Proof of that date is required when the booking is made.
Which dates are excluded from the free night at Makanyi?
The period from 20 December 2026 to 9 January 2027 carries no free nights. The offer otherwise applies from 1 November to 19 December 2026 and from 10 January to 31 March 2027, giving one free night when you pay for a minimum of three at the lodge.
What is the shortest honeymoon stay Makanyi will accept?
Two nights, which is shorter than most of the honeymoon rates on our special offers pages, where three is more common. That makes it workable as a short addition to a wider South African itinerary, although we would still suggest three nights in the Timbavati for the game viewing.
What extras come with the Timbavati honeymoon booking?
