Kenya's Safari Collection splits its 2026 calendar into two pricing seasons, and the reduction differs between them. Stays of four nights or more at Sala's Camp, Sasaab or Solio Lodge take 25 per cent off accommodation during The Season, and 30 per cent during Savings Season. Is Giraffe Manor included in The Safari Collection discount?
Not in the 25 and 30 per cent accommodation reductions, which name Sala's Camp, Sasaab and Solio Lodge and exclude Giraffe Manor. The published terms do go on to mention combinations involving Giraffe Manor, but the wording available to us is incomplete, so we confirm the current position with the collection rather than guess.
When does the 30 per cent Savings Season fall in 2026?
From 6 January to 31 May 2026 and from 1 November to 15 December 2026 inclusive. A minimum of four nights is required, at one property or across a combination of Sala's Camp, Solio Lodge and Sasaab. Those are the quieter months in Kenya, which is why the reduction is larger.
How many nights do I need at Sasaab or Solio to qualify?
Four, either at a single property or spread across the qualifying camps and lodges. Below four nights neither the 25 nor the 30 per cent applies. Since Sasaab is in the Samburu area and Solio sits near Mount Kenya, reaching four nights usually means combining the two with internal flights.
What dates count as The Season for the 25 per cent rate?
1 to 5 January 2026, 1 June to 31 October 2026, and 16 to 31 December 2026 inclusive. These are the busier months in Kenya, and the reduction there is 25 per cent rather than 30. The four-night minimum applies in the same way, and Giraffe Manor is excluded.
