Transfers are part of the rate. You are driven to and from Kasane International Airport and the Kasane immigration office on the Botswana side of the Chobe River, then taken by boat across to the Namibian immigration office and on to Impalila Island, where the lodge sits.
What is the fishing like?
This is the main reason many guests come. Guided fishing is strictly catch and release, for the mighty tigerfish and many other species, along the Chobe River, the Kasai Channel or the Zambezi. All guided water-based fishing is covered by the rate, as are meals, soft drinks, local beer and wine.
What is there besides fishing?
Evening game viewing runs by tender boat into Chobe National Park and the Caprivi wetland areas, and guided walks on Impalila Island give an insight into local life among enormous baobab trees. A cultural tour of a local village and a guided photographic outing are also included. Rates started at ZAR 8,562 per person per night for the 2025 main season.
