Laba Siwandu is located in Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve), Africa’s largest and oldest national park. Situated south of Dar es Salaam, a 40-minute flight away, it offers a diverse range of wildlife experiences. The lodge sits on the shores of Lake Nzelekela. Laba Siwandu is a renowned lodge among enthusiasts and has hosted, among other famous guests, King Charles III (then Prince Charles) with his two sons, William and Harry.

How do you get to the camp?
Nyerere National Park lies about a 40-minute flight south of Dar es Salaam. Scheduled road transfers to and from the camp's Mtemere airstrip are included in the rate, along with full board, drinks including premium spirits but not champagne, laundry, VAT and the tourism levy.

The lodge sits on the shores of Lake Nzelekela in Nyerere National Park, formerly the Selous, which is Africa's largest and oldest national park. Each tented suite rests on a wooden deck beneath a makuti thatched roof, and even the gym looks out over the lake.
Is there anything unusual about the camp?
It has a long-standing reputation among safari enthusiasts and has hosted King Charles III, then Prince Charles, with William and Harry. There is a private chef on hand, and the kitchen's crocodile bread has become something of a signature. Children aged six and above are welcome.
