Completely exclusive and secluded from the outside world, Ndomo Private House is the ultimate group retreat in itself or as a spot to wind down after a safari.
Inspired by the architecture of Zanzibar, Zambia and Kenya’s Lamu Island, along with hints of Morocco and India, Ndomo is a melting pot of design ideas. The interior style has been imaginatively paired with African antiques and contemporary bespoke pieces created largely at Katundu Workshop.

- The local population is legendary for its friendliness and thus a simple unescorted stroll around the island, perhaps with a few cold drinks and snacks is a wonderful experience.

Yes, Ndomo is completely exclusive and secluded, designed as a retreat for one group, either in its own right or as somewhere to wind down after a safari. Rates run from US$735 per house per night, rising to US$1,015 from July to October.
Is it safe to swim in the lake here?
The waters around the house are clear and free of hippos and crocodiles, so swimming and snorkelling are both on offer, and this is among the best freshwater snorkelling anywhere. Snorkelling, mountain bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and sailing are all included.
