Camp Details
Shoebill Island Camp is a fully catered tented lodge featuring five ensuite canvas chalets.
The camp is nestled under trees on an island in the vast watery expanse of the Bangweulu wetland. The ensuite canvas chalets are on concrete platforms behind the camp’s central area. Each unit is discreetly positioned for privacy and to maximize views of the expansive flood plains.
The brick-and-mortar central area is a large open space featuring a dining room, bar, spacious lounge with indoor fireplace and library. The outdoor firepit is the ideal spot for evening sundowners and early morning coffees. The camp is solar-powered.
