Farmstead is an exclusive safari lodge at Royal Malewane in the Greater Kruger National Park, bringing a sense of home in its space and privacy, while brimming elegance synonymous with The Royal Portfolio.
Farmstead offers something unique in terms of luxury that comes in stark contrast to the ultra-modern style in vogue. Comfort meets contemporary in the brightly accented bedrooms where Liz Biden’s design flair meets the untamed wilderness of the outdoors.
Accommodation includes three Luxury Farm Suites and a three-and-a-half-bedroom exclusive use safari villa – The Farmhouse – where guests will have private services.
Despite the extravagant space, there is a rustic homeliness to Farmstead which offers the same exceptional service, excellent cuisine, and engaging safari experience as guests have come to expect over 20 years at Royal Malewane.

It has three bedrooms plus a smaller children's bedroom with two three-quarter size beds, so a family can spread out.
How are the beds configured, and what do rates run to?
All rooms have Super King beds that can be split into two three-quarter beds, with the exception of Luxury Farm Suite 1. Rooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fans, and bathrooms have underfloor heating and an outdoor shower. Luxury Suites are from ZAR 55,500 per person per night in early 2026, rising to ZAR 69,000 over the festive period.
