Flying Around Namibia In Style: A Luxury Tour

Namibia is a vast country and the distances between its highlights are long. Flying between lodges lets you cover a lot of ground in a relatively short time, so eleven days takes in Windhoek, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein, Ongava Private Game Reserve and Zannier Reserve without whole days spent behind the wheel.

The route runs from The Weinberg in Windhoek to Wilderness Little Kulala at Sossusvlei, then Brigadoon Boutique Guesthouse in Swakopmund, Mowani Mountain Camp at Twyfelfontein, Ongava Lodge on the Ongava Private Game Reserve, and finally Zannier Hotels Omaanda on the Zannier Reserve, before the flight back to Windhoek on day eleven.

Sossusvlei sits in the Namib-Naukluft National Park, where the iconic red dunes of the Namib rise against clear blue skies, and the stay includes a sleep-out under the desert night sky. Twyfelfontein, in the Kunene Region, holds one of the largest and most important concentrations of rock art in Africa, explored with Mowani's local guides.

It does. Two nights are spent at Ongava Lodge on the 30,000-hectare Ongava Private Game Reserve, which shares its southern boundary with Etosha National Park and is considered one of the top private reserves in the region. The final night is at Zannier Reserve, 900 square kilometres of savanna-covered country half an hour east of Windhoek's international airport.
