Questions about this Kenya explorer itinerary

Which three areas does this trip cover?

Amboseli, Laikipia and the Masai Mara, each a very different ecosystem. Three nights at Elewana Tortilis Camp in Amboseli for the long-tusked elephants and Kilimanjaro views, three at Lewa Safari Camp on the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, and three at Elephant Pepper Camp in Mara North Conservancy, with flights linking them.

What is special about the Lewa section?

Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is home to over 130 white and black rhino and the largest concentration of Grevy's zebra in the world. From Lewa Safari Camp the days include day and night game drives, guided walks, lion tracking, bird viewing and bush breakfasts, and a visit to the Ngare Ndare Forest is included in the rate.

Is this suitable for families?

It is listed as a favourite for families as well as couples, birders, photographers and those new to safari, though a couple of conditions matter. The minimum age for guided bush walks is 16, and a child aged 12 to 17 in their own room is charged at the single room rate. We can advise on the best room configuration.

What does the price include?

Full board accommodation, soft drinks, beer, house wines and selected spirits, shared scheduled game drives, guided bush walks, bush breakfasts and sundowners, night drives at Tortilis and Elephant Pepper, park and conservancy fees, scheduled flights and domestic departure tax, airport and airstrip transfers, laundry, AMREF Flying Doctors membership, Wilson Airport lounge access, and processing of one single entry visa per person.

How do the rates vary, and is there anything else to know?

From US$8,778 per person for 1 April to 31 May 2026, US$9,003 for June and 1 November to 19 December, and US$11,798 from July to October and over the festive dates. A 10 per cent circuit discount is already applied for six or more nights at Elewana properties, and internal flights carry a 15kg baggage limit in soft bags.
