Where does this itinerary go?
Ten days and nine nights in the quieter south. You begin in the remote southern sector of Ruaha at Jongomero, tucked under shade trees on the banks of the Jongomero River, with eight tented suites on raised wooden platforms. Next is Laba Siwandu on Lake Nzerakera in the Rufiji system, then Fanjove Island on the coast.
What activities are included at each camp?
Two activities a day at Jongomero, which may be private game drives, night drives or bathing in the volcanic hot springs at the Bush Thermal Spa. At Siwandu you have private game drives, a boat safari and fishing, plus one pontoon lunch. On Fanjove there is a sunset dhow cruise, a marine safari, a half-day sandbank picnic, snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding and island walks.
Can we bring children?
Children aged five and over are welcome at Laba Jongomero and Laba Siwandu, and six and over at Laba Fanjove. Guided bush walks are permitted only for those aged 16 and above. The itinerary is described as suiting older families, couples, photographers, birders and naturalists.
How do rates vary and are there any closures?
Prices start from US$10,337 per person for 1 to 28 February, 1 to 30 June and 1 November to 19 December 2026. From 10 to 31 January and 1 September to 31 October the rate is US$12,017, and 1 July to 31 August plus 20 December to 5 January are US$13,328. There are no green season rates, as Jongomero and Beho Beho close 15 March to 31 May 2026.
What is not covered by the price?
Champagne at all three properties, additional activities outside the inclusions, TANAPA activity fees for guided bush walks, boat safaris and fishing, international flights, visa fees, gratuities and personal items. Note too that scheduled flights to and from Songo Songo operate on inducement of four seats, and there is a 15 kg soft bag limit on internal flights.
