Chicari Camp offers an extraordinary way to experience the unfiltered beauty of Gorongosa National Park. Set around a natural pan that attracts a rich tapestry of wildlife, this new seasonal tented camp is immersed in one of Africa’s last truly wild frontiers.

Chicari Camp is more than a safari destination. It’s an invitation to slow down, tune into nature’s rhythms, and witness the remarkable restoration of a once-forgotten wilderness. Days unfold with the calls of birds, the movement of herds, and the insight of expert guides who bring Gorongosa’s story to life.

Chicari Camp offers ten thoughtfully designed canvas tents, including eight safari tents and two unique treehide tents. The tents provide spacious interiors with cosy beds, solar-powered lighting, and private en-suite bathrooms, ensuring a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. The two tree hide tents are at the base of a wooden tree hide and share a spacious deck, making them an ideal choice for two couples or a family travelling together. All tents offer wonderful views of the pan, and are connected by raised wooden walkways, creating a seamless flow through the camp while ensuring privacy and a close connection to nature.
