5.0 / 51 rating

At Chindeni, combine that thrill with style and comfort in one of the four spacious tents, with their wooden floors, four-poster beds and impressive views over the lagoon from the private verandas. The main area is a glorious expanse of decking arranged on several levels around the surrounding ebony trees, boasting, of course, the same spectacular view of the lagoon and its four-legged inhabitants.

Whether you are in the mood for intrepid exploration or more sedentary wildlife viewing, Chindeni will deliver. Set out on superb walking safaris, game drives, night drives and scenic sundowner trips in the surrounding area, or simply settle yourself in a deckchair at camp, and watch the abundance of game that is drawn to the lagoon.

WHY CHOOSE CHINDENI BUSHCAMP?

  • There’s something about sleeping under canvas that ignites a sense of adventure in everyone.
  • A sublime tented camp on the edge of an oxbow lagoon with the N’Chindeni Hills providing a truly breath-taking backdrop.
  • The walking safari was born in the South Luangwa, so it’s only fitting that many of your outings will be on foot with the very finest guides.

Questions about Chindeni

Can we travel here with children under 12?

Children aged 12 and over are welcome as standard. Because under-12s are not permitted on walking safaris in the park, families with younger children need to book the whole camp privately and hire a private guide and vehicle, so the adults can walk while the children go out on game drives. We can price that option for you.

What is the setting like?

The camp sits on the edge of an oxbow lagoon with the N'Chindeni Hills behind. There are four tents with wooden floors, four-poster beds and private verandas looking over the water, and the main area is a spread of decking on several levels among ebony trees, with the same view.
