Great care has been taken to balance unpretentious style with complete comfort when it comes to the Chitwa Suites.
Each of the six individually decorated suites open onto a private lake-view deck with its own private plunge pool, framed by a spacious timber deck that overlooks the nearby water – a popular drinking hole for our wealth of wildlife. The luxury suites are very spacious, varying from 130 to 180 square metres, and can accommodate up to 2 extra beds for children under the age of 12 yrs only.
The Charlsy Suite in particular is a superb solution for families or friends travelling together! It consists of two splendidly appointed inter-leading en-suite rooms joined by a comfortable living area. A fabulously spacious common lake view deck with a swimming pool completes this unique unit.
All the Chitwa Chitwa Suites include a bath-tub, indoor and outdoor shower, fireplace, minibar, fan, hairdryer, tea coffee making facility and an iPod docking station.

The Charlsy Suite is the one to ask for. It is made up of two inter-leading en-suite rooms joined by a living area, with a shared lake-view deck and swimming pool. The 2026 rate for it is ZAR 29,372 per person per night. Chitwa welcomes children of all ages, and suites take up to two extra beds for children under 12.
How close is the wildlife to the suites themselves?
Each of the six suites opens onto a private lake-view deck with its own plunge pool, looking over water that is a popular drinking hole for game. Chitwa Chitwa sits on the largest perennial lake in the Sabi Sand, so a good deal of the viewing happens from your own deck rather than only from the vehicle.
Are walking safaris part of the daily routine, or only game drives?
Both. The rate covers two open-vehicle safaris a day plus daily walking safaris, along with all meals, soft drinks and bottled water, teas and coffees, laundry and return transfers from the Chitwa airstrip. Rates start from ZAR 28,447 per person per night; alcoholic drinks, spa treatments and boutique purchases are charged separately.

The STANDARD RATE does not include alcoholic beverages – telephone calls – purchases from the boutique, spa treatments and air and road transfers to/from the lodge.
