Does it suit families?
It does. There are three interleading family units among the eight thatched chalets, children's activities are offered, and children of all ages are welcome. That is a marked contrast with its sister lodge in the same reserve, which takes only children of 12 and over.
What facilities are there?
A swimming pool, bar, boma, safari library, free WiFi in the main reception, a curio shop, a hide and a game viewing deck overlooking the waterhole. Electricity is 220V and convertors are available. The lodge takes its name from the Tsonga word for welcome.
What do the rates include?
Two game drives per day, bush walks, the hide, meals, tea and coffee, house wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks, the gym and laundry. Excluded are curio shop purchases, the spa, transfers and day excursions, a private safari vehicle, gratuities, premium wines and champagne. Rates are ZAR 8,700 per person per night for 2026.
