What is there for children?
The Mack and Madi Kids' Adventure Safari Club runs activities with its own coordinator and an eco-garden play area, and babysitting can be arranged. Family room configurations are available, and the kitchen caters for a full range of dietary preferences, which tends to matter when travelling with children.
Are the safaris only by vehicle?
No. Two game drives a day with FGASA qualified field guides sit alongside bush walks and the Ms. Mara water safaris, which use the waterways of Marakele National Park. A maximum of eight guests share a vehicle, and private vehicles can be arranged subject to availability.
How big is the lodge, and what does the rate cover?
There are 15 tented suites taking 30 guests, with an open-plan lounge and dining area, a communal pool and free Wi-Fi in the guest areas. Rates start from ZAR 18,270 per person per night and include accommodation, three meals, afternoon high tea, a stocked mini bar, soft drinks, beers, spirits and house wines, two daily game drives and sundowners.
