An all-inclusive 3 day / 2 night road safari tour Porini Amboseli Camp is an award-winning safari camp is set in the Amboseli eco-system within the exclusive Selenkay Conservancy– an important wildlife dispersal area for wildlife moving out of Amboseli National Park. The private conservation area ensures the best possible game viewing in proper off-road safari vehicles, off the beaten track and away from other tourist vans and minibuses. Porini Amboseli Safari Camp is small – with just 10 spacious guest tents – and retains all the charm and feel of the traditional mobile safari camps of days gone by. Tents are tastefully furnished and have solar powered electric lighting with en suite bathrooms including shower, wash basin and flush toilet.

How is a stay here sold?
Rates are quoted per person per tour rather than per night, as a three day, two night package starting from US$1,600. It covers pick up in Nairobi, two nights on full board with soft drinks, beer, house wine, gin and tonic and water, Selenkay Conservancy fees, one day of Amboseli National Park entry, and shared day and night game drives.
Why stay in Selenkay rather than in Amboseli itself?
Selenkay is a private conservancy and an important dispersal area for wildlife moving out of Amboseli National Park. Because it is private, guides can drive off-road in proper 4x4 safari vehicles, away from the tourist vans and minibuses, and the conservancy model returns tangible benefits to the Maasai landowners.
How big is the camp?
Small, with just 10 guest tents, keeping the charm of the traditional mobile safari camps of earlier decades.
