With some of the best views in the Sabi Sand, Cliff Lodge is just a short walk away from the Main House at Rock Lodge. This incredible building features two magnificent suites, offering guests the ultimate luxury safari escape.
Cliff Lodge 1
A luxurious two-bedroom suite with space for two adults in the main bedroom and two children on twin beds downstairs. An additional pull-out bed can be placed in the large bedroom on request.
Cliff Lodge 2
An enormous one-bedroom suite accommodating two adults on a king size bed. Additional pull-out beds can be placed in the bedroom for two children on request.
WHY CHOOSE ULUSABA CLIFF LODGE?
- Guests can enjoy a star gazing evening as part of their game viewing experience at our observatory in the Bush. Our Rangers will teach all about the constellations you can see from points in the southern hemisphere!
- The daily Safari walk usually commences after breakfast. This is a fascinating activity as it allows you to observe the smaller animals that you would usually not see while out on the game vehicles.
- There is a private Gym situated at Cliff Lodge as well as gymnasiums situated at both Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge, available for guests to use 24 hours a day.
- The Community Tours and Excursions are organized by Pride ‘n Purpose, Ulusaba’s charitable
- The basic philosophy behind its work is the principle of empowering people to help themselves while promoting sustainable development.

Is Cliff Lodge open?
Not at present. Ulusaba is closed for a complete redesign and is scheduled to reopen on 1 April 2027, so it cannot be booked for the time being. We are happy to register your interest for the reopening or to suggest alternative Sabi Sand lodges in the meantime.
How are the two suites configured?
Cliff Lodge 1 is a two-bedroom suite with space for two adults in the main bedroom and two children on twin beds downstairs, with an extra pull-out bed available on request. Cliff Lodge 2 is a very large one-bedroom suite for two adults on a king size bed, with pull-out beds for two children on request.
How does Cliff Lodge relate to the rest of Ulusaba?
It is a short walk from the Main House at Rock Lodge, so guests have the run of the wider property while keeping a separate, private building with some of the best views in the Sabi Sand. There is a private gym at Cliff Lodge, and further gyms at Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge open around the clock.
