Botswana: Kwando 5 Rivers Special 2014-2015 Itineraries

For regular safari-goers, the name Kwando needs no further introduction. But for those of you who are new to the world of safaris, or new to the world of Botswana safaris in particular, this little intro is for you.

The Kwando camps are located in some of the most wildlife rich and pristine safari locations of Botswana. These are very coveted camps that can only be had at luxury prices during the ‘high’ season. But once a year, Kwando gets together with two other companies to offer an affordable range of safari camps that cover all the major wildlife locations that occur around the five major rivers in the region. This is a fantastic value and an opportunity for people to explore some of the most wild and remote areas of the country at a reasonable cost.

Remember also that this is ‘high season’ for the desert camps and we recommend including one of these camps into your itinerary – not necessarily for wildlife (though your sightings should be great, and if you’re lucky, you may catch the annual zebra migration sometime between January-April), but for the magnificent and unforgettable landscapes of the Kalahari and Nxai Pan, stargazing, and time spent with the San Bushmen in their own desert environment.

• All quotes are valid for travel from 15th November 2014 to 31st March 2015
• Transfers between Lagoon and Lebala are done as a morning game drive.
• Where we have only Lagoon or Lebala in an itinerary – you can substitute one for the other at no extra cost.
• Where an itinerary finishes in Kasane – we can book a road transfer onwards to VFA or LVI for an additional cost.
• Where an itinerary ends in Livingstone or Vic Falls – we have quoted on a road transfer between Kasane and Livingstone or Kasane and Vic Falls
• Please note – if travel is between 20th December 2014 – 4th January 2015 – a $64 nett per person per night surcharge applies for all Kwando properties
• A 2 night stay at Stanleys Safari Lodge (LVI) includes a Falls Visit and Sunset Cruise – inclusive of park fee’s as well as a village tour
• A 2 night stay at The Elephant Camp (VFA) includes a Falls Visit and Sunset Cruise – inclusive of park fees as well as an interaction with Sylvester the Cheetah and the Elephant.
