A quirky and eccentric name, ‘Muddy Teak’ comes from the name of the natural waterhole in front of camp and is the core focus of attention. Open only from 1 May to 30 November each year, the camp has the privilege of watching daily processions of wildlife to the waterhole over the dry season: elephant, sable, zebra, giraffe, impala, buffalo and lion are most regular.

It opens from 1 May to 30 November each year. The camp takes its name from the natural waterhole in front of it, which is the focus of the day: elephant, sable, zebra, giraffe, impala, buffalo and lion are the most regular visitors through the dry season.
How do we watch the game?
Three ways, all included: day and night game drives, guided walks with interpretive guiding, and logpile hides that let you observe Africa's mega-fauna at eye level. Rates run from US$710 per person per night in November to US$1,250 from July to October in 2026, covering all meals, all beverages, laundry, VAT, Shumba Airstrip road transfers and emergency medical evacuation to Victoria Falls.
