Nestled in the cool hills of the Southern Highlands, surrounded by pristine ancient forests and rolling tea plantations, Mufindi is the perfect break from the dust and heat of a safari.

Mufindi Highland Lodge was buit in 1997 on the 2000 acre private estate.  Surrounded by tea plantations, montane forest and rural villages, the area is away from any tourist route and maintains a natural charm.  The cabins are built from responsibly grown timber and the rocks are all local.  Meats, dariy products and organically grown vegetables are all produced on the working farm.

There are 10 cosy wooden chalets with either twin or double beds. With homely decoration and an en-suite bathroom, guests will immediately feel relaxed.

The Chalet completes the accommodation with 2 huge bedrooms each with bathroom with shared upstairs lounge and balcony.

All of the chalets open out to stunning views across the valley, and are generously spaced out across the hilltop.

WHY CHOOSE MUFINDI HIGHLAND LODGE?

• Mufindi is a working farm, and depending on the time of year, it is possible to see calves, piglets, foals and lambs. Our younger guests are encouraged to help feed the lambs and play with the puppies.
• full-sized tennis court commanding some special views, a partially sheltered outdoor badminton court, a bowls green and a ‘secret garden’ for ‘aggressive, Foxes’-rules’ croquet; no quarter asked for nor given.
• The whole area is perfect for cycling, with farm tracks, bridleways and footpaths running through plantations of pine, eucalyptus, tea and coffee, as well as ancient forests and around pristine lakes.
