A wonderful stop-off during a safari on the north circuit of Tanzania and a privileged place from where one can visit the crater or enjoy activities such a walking safaris to the volcano or excursions to Lake Eyasi on the Rift Valley still inhabited by the Hadzabe tribe.

• As guided walk in the most attractive areas of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There are several routes; the most usual ones depart from Tloma Lodge along a route which takes guests to the waterfalls and the descent to the Empakai Crater.
• A whole day visit to lake Eyasi where these two tribes live. The Hadzabe are hunters and collectors. The Datoga are herdsmen, related to the Maasai tribe. Both tribes trade with one another bartering.
