Almost. Roca River Camp closes from 21 April to 1 June, so those weeks are out. It is a mobile camp set on the banks of the Mara River in riverine forest, inside the National Reserve, and positioned to reach both the Mara Triangle and the Greater Reserve.
Do we share a vehicle with other guests?
No, guided 4x4 trips are run in exclusive-use vehicles, which is unusual at this price point in the Reserve. Walking with rangers is also possible on the edge of the Reserve, along with bush breakfasts, picnics and sundowner excursions.
What else does the rate cover?
From US$693 per person per night for most of the year and US$1,045 from 10 June to 30 September and over the festive period. Included are all meals, soft drinks, house wine and spirits, local beers, daily laundry, Wi-Fi in the tents, Musiara airstrip transfers, Maasai market visits, and all taxes and levies.
