- Each tent includes gauze sliding doors, a glass wood-burner fireplace for the cold winter nights, and an overhead fan for the hot summer days, as well as en suite bathroom facilities including flush toilets, an indoor and outdoor shower, as well as a copper slipper-style bathtub.

Somalisa Acacia is deliberately family-focused, and children are welcomed into the Ngwana Club, which the guides run with traditional storytelling, arts and crafts and nature walks. Families also share in game drives, walking safaris, birding excursions and cultural visits, and the Elephant Pool beside camp gives close viewing without a long drive.
Can a larger group take the camp together?
On special request, Somalisa Acacia can be booked in combination with Somalisa Camp for groups of up to 20 people. A private guide and tour leader can also be arranged on request. These need to be set up in advance, so let us know early if you are planning a group trip.
Are the tents comfortable through Hwange's temperature swings?
They are built for it. Each tent has gauze sliding doors, a glass-fronted wood-burning fireplace for cold winter nights and an overhead fan for hot summer days, plus an en suite with flush toilet, indoor and outdoor showers and a copper slipper-style bathtub. Rates run from US$630 per person per night in the green season to US$1,390 between June and October.
