How do you reach the camp from Victoria Falls?

It is about a 45-minute flight from Victoria Falls, which makes Somalisa an easy addition to a Falls trip. Hwange is one of southern Africa's most biodiverse regions, with healthy populations of elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah and African wild dog.

Can you watch elephants from the camp itself?

That is the point of the design. The split-level main deck has a lounge, dining area and a small splash pool that look directly over the Elephant Pool and a natural waterhole where herds come down to drink. Guests can sit in the water and watch the game do the same.

Are cultural visits part of a stay?

Village visits are included, to Hwange Main Camp village, and a visit to Mambanje Village can also be arranged, though that one requires a private vehicle at additional cost. Game drives, birding excursions and walking safaris are covered by the rate, which starts from US$630 per person per night.
