It is set up with photography in mind. A dedicated hide gives low, close angles on the wildlife, and the in-camp Elephant Pool draws elephants to drink in the heat of the day, which means unhurried shooting from the property itself rather than from a vehicle.

What is the sleep-out?

The Somalisa Sleep-Out is a treehouse retreat overlooking a waterhole about fifteen minutes from camp, where you spend the night in the open under the stars. It is arranged as an addition to a stay, so mention it when you enquire and we will check whether it can be built into your dates.

Is there a minimum age, and what do the rates cover?

The camp is not recommended for children below seven years. Rates start from US$490 per person per night in the green season and cover accommodation, all meals, beverages, laundry, return shared road transfers and two shared activities on each full day, typically morning and afternoon game drives or guided walks.
