Camp Details
Songa Migrational Camp follows in the path of the Great Migration, locating twice yearly between the northern and southern Serengeti. Guests are granted a front row seat to the procession of more than two million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle as they traverse across the vast grass plains.
Songa consists of eight en-suite tents and a family tent. Its vibrant decor creatively reflects the joy and wonder of being on safari, taking inspiration from the seemingly endless inky blue skies and burnt orange sunsets of the wilderness. Set up as a split camp, there is also the option to book one side of Songa on an exclusive basis.

How does the camp move with the migration?
Songa relocates twice a year between the northern and southern Serengeti, following the herds of more than two million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson's gazelle. Transfers are to Kogatende airstrip when it is in the north and Mwiba airstrip when it is in the south.
Can a group take part of the camp to themselves?
Yes. Songa is set up as a split camp of eight en-suite tents plus a family tent, and one side can be booked on an exclusive basis. That suits a family or a group of friends who want their own mess and fire without taking the whole camp.
Are night drives available?
Night drives run within the exclusive-use concession, but not at the northern location. Otherwise the rate covers unlimited game drives with picnic meals, bush walks with a professional walking guide, a private vehicle and guide per booking, laundry and internet, plus optional drives in the southern Serengeti parks.

• Full board: All meals, house wines, beers, local spirits, water, tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks.
• Unlimited game drives with picnic meals as well as night drives within our exclusive-use concession (night drives not available in the northern location).
• Additional game drives in the southern Serengeti parks are available (weather- and wildlife-dependent).
• Bush walks with a professional walking guide.
• Each booking is allocated a private safari vehicle and guide for maximum flexibility.
• Transfers between camp and the nearest airstrip (Northern location: Kogatende Airstrip; Southern location: Mwiba Airstrip).
• Daily laundry service include.
• Internet available in the main areas and tented rooms.
• A compulsory government Tourism Development Levy (TDL) of 1% of the per person per night rate.
