Zambezi Expeditions is situated within Mana Pools National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site comprised of four permanent watering holes that attract wildlife year-round. The shared common area features a comfortable lounge and a spacious dining table, as well as a complete bar set up. Refresh and unwind by the main area plunge pool and spend the evening under the starry African sky as you share the day’s adventures around the glow of the fire. Zambezi Expeditions is powered predominantly by solar power, with charging facilities in the main area.

How basic is the camp?
It is comfortable rather than luxurious, and honest about it. Six twin-bedded tents have en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and an alfresco hot bucket shower, and the furnishing runs to 12 volt lighting and charging points for cameras. Only canvas and gauze separate you from the bush, and the camp runs predominantly on solar.
What activities are included?
Morning, afternoon and night game drives, walking safaris and mokoro trips are all covered, though mokoro depends on water levels at the time. The camp stands directly on the banks of the Zambezi, so elephants moving through camp at night are a regular part of a stay.
Is it suitable for children, and what is not covered?
The camp is not recommended for children below seven. Rates start from US$630 per person per night in April, May and November, and exclude visa fees, international and regional flights, travel insurance, items of a personal nature and staff gratuities. Meals, drinks other than premium spirits and champagne, and laundry are included.
