What is a custom-made safari?
It is a safari that has been crafted to meet your expectations, budget and timing. It is simply a trip that is designed to include all the things that you want to see and do on your holiday at a price you can afford and at a time that works for you.
A custom-made safari is not the same thing as a private safari. Most custom-made safaris will have you staying in camps and lodges with other people. Depending on the size of your group, you will probably be sharing game drives and activities with the people at camp. This can be good fun, and most camps/lodges try hard to pair you up with other like-minded visitors.
What is a private safari?
A private safari is limited to the people in your group – i.e. your guide and your vehicle will be exclusively yours for the duration of your safari. Private safaris arrangements can include shared accommodations in camps and lodges, or camps can be booked out in their entirety for your group alone.
Why customize a safari?
Because people are not the same. Because people do not have the same interests, same focus, same holiday style, same safari style, same physical abilities, same tolerance of heat/cold…I could go on and on, but you get the idea.
