Masai Mara Migration Photo Safari

Masai Mara, Kenya

The jewel of Kenya, the Masai Mara, is home to prolific wildlife, especially big cats like lion, leopard and cheetah. From July to October, it is also home to millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle who cross the treacherous waters of the Mara River in search of greener pastures. While the Great Migration and the dramatic river crossings are one of the biggest draws of the Masai Mara, it is a year-round destination with wonderful wildlife and perfect temperatures.

Best Time to Visit Masai Mara

Best months to visit: Peak seasons months are from July to October. Due to its excellent resident wildlife populations (especially big cats), the Masai Mara is truly a year round destination.
Months that can be avoided: April and May can be avoided due to the long rains.
