Chobe National Park, in the far north of Botswana, is known as the “Land of Giants”, due to its thriving population of Kalahari elephants, the largest of the African elephants. (Which is not in any way to diminish the remaining four of the Big Five – they’re all present as well, and appropriately gigantic too.) The habitat here is remarkably varied, encompassing savannah, woodland, riparian and floodplain, with biodiversity to match.
