Governors’ Il Moran Camp is an intimate and peaceful camp, ideal for honeymooners, couples, solo travelers, and families with older children looking for a unique safari experience. The camp, nestled under the canopy of riverine forest, consists of just 10 luxurious tents situated along the winding banks of the Mara River.
The camp features unique decor with dark wooden tables, oversized blue couches, and a central, colorfully beaded chandelier, creating an ambiance that is both elegant and adventurous. Tribal portraits and African artifacts enhance the atmosphere, adding to the camp’s charm. Meals are served on the raised wooden decking of the main mess and dining tent, providing a bird’s-eye view of the Mara River and its resident hippos. A central sunken fire pit is lit in the evenings, offering the perfect place to relax with a cocktail.
Il Moran Camp has been awarded a GOLD rating for sustainability by Eco-Tourism Kenya, acknowledging its environmentally friendly practices and commitment to eco-tourism.

Musiara airstrip transfers, accommodation, meals in camp, selected wines, beers and soft drinks, three game drives daily and laundry. Rates ran from US$667 per person per night in April and May to US$1,502 in the July to October season. The camp holds a gold sustainability rating from Eco-Tourism Kenya.
