From the elegant wooden central platform where the Lake Burunge Tented Lodge restaurant stands it’s possible to watch the lakeshore waiting for the animals that come to drink there.
Because the camp is strategically located in the natural corridor between Manyara and Tarangire, so the spectacle of the migration it’s guaranteed. The camp is located 10 minutes from the entrance to the park known as Sangaiwe.
This camp is the perfect place to relax in comfort after a day of game drives in Tarangire, simply carried away by the breeze and the colors of the African sunset from your private terrace.

Ten minutes from the Sangaiwe entrance to Tarangire, which makes for short mornings. The camp also sits in the natural corridor between Manyara and Tarangire, so game moves past through the season. It is an easy place to come back to after a long day of drives, with a private terrace for the sunset.
Can we watch wildlife without leaving camp?
Often. The restaurant stands on an elegant raised wooden platform looking over the lakeshore, and animals come down to drink within view of the tables. Walking along the shore of the lake is another option, with a good number of birds, and sundowners can be taken on a kopje above Lake Burunge and Tarangire.
Is there anything cultural nearby?
Villages close to the camp belong to the Mbugwe tribe and can be visited to see something of their way of life. Standard Tents are from US$118 per person per night in April and May, US$139 from 1 November to 15 December and US$161 otherwise, on a full board basis including drinking water, tea and coffee.
