Can we explore on foot as well as by vehicle?
Yes. Daily excursions run by vehicle and on foot with expert guides who know the concession well, and the rate includes morning and afternoon game drives in the Burunge WMA, guided walks, a sunrise hill climb, sundowners and a drive into Tarangire National Park, where park fees are extra.
Is there any benefit to staying longer?
There is. On stays of four nights or more the camp includes a daily 30-minute massage per person. Longer stays also suit the deliberately slow rhythm here, set beneath a canopy of ancient baobabs, where the days are built around wildlife rather than a schedule.
What age do children need to be?
Children from eight years are welcome at Little Chem Chem. Rates run from US$1,370 per person per night in the quieter months to US$1,845 over the festive period, and include three meals a day, house drinks, hand-washed laundry, Wi-Fi and a private guide and vehicle.
